Accessibility statement
Our commitment
Arca builds tools for independent businesses, and that means our website should work for anyone running one. We aim for arca.biz to be usable by people who navigate the web with assistive technology — including screen readers, keyboard-only navigation, voice control, and screen magnification.
Conformance status
We target the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA. As we complete our independent accessibility audit, this page will reflect the formal conformance status — including any known gaps and the timeline for addressing them.
What we’ve done so far
- Keyboard navigation — all interactive elements (links, buttons, form fields, accordions) can be operated with the Tab and Enter keys. Focus states are visible.
- Semantic structure — pages use one
<h1>, properly nested headings, real lists, real buttons, and ARIA labels where the visual context isn’t sufficient. - Alt text on images — informative images carry descriptive alt text; decorative images are marked with empty alt or
aria-hidden. - Color contrast — text colors against their backgrounds target 4.5:1 (body text) and 3:1 (large text) per WCAG.
- Form labels — every input has a label or accessible name. Error states use native browser validation messages.
- Skip links and headings — primary landmarks (
header, main, footer) are present so assistive technology can jump between sections.
Known gaps
- The dual pricing and pricing calculators use range sliders. Keyboard support is present, but the live readout could use stronger
aria-liveannouncements. - The pricing quote wizard moves focus to step headings on transition; we want to verify that pattern works cleanly across major screen readers (NVDA, JAWS, VoiceOver) as part of the formal audit.
- Brand-logo decorative gradients use lavender on cream — verified above WCAG minimums, but we’ll re-test once final brand assets are in.
- Video embeds (if added later) will need captions and transcripts; none are currently on the site.
Third-party content
Some content on arca.biz comes from third parties — most notably the Clover App Market icons and the live arcapayment.com sibling site. We don’t control the accessibility of those third-party sources, but we make our best effort to label and describe links so assistive technology can still navigate around them.
How to report an issue
If you encounter an accessibility problem on arca.biz, please tell us. Send a short description of the issue, the page URL, the assistive technology you’re using (if applicable), and what you were trying to do.
- Email: accessibility@arca.biz — ask for the accessibility team and we’ll route it.
We aim to acknowledge accessibility reports within two business days and provide a remediation timeline within ten business days for confirmed issues.
Alternative formats
Need a proposal, statement, or other Arca document in a different format (large print, screen-reader-friendly PDF, plain text)? Email the team using the same address above and we’ll work with you.
Updates to this statement
We’ll update this page when the formal audit is complete, when known gaps are addressed, and when the site changes in ways that affect accessibility. The “last updated” date at the top reflects the most recent change.
